CCA Names VP of Utility Sales
Combustion Engineering & Boiler Emission Control Expertise Augmented
MONROE, CONNECTICUT, Sep. 9 -/E-Wire/-- R. Gifford Broderick, President of Combustion Components Associates, a leading provider of environmental technologies, has appointed Edmund Schindler to the position of Vice President of Utility Sales.

In making the announcement, Broderick said, "Ed brings an unparalled level of technical leadership and more than 30 years experience in all aspects of engineering, design and start-up of fossil-fuel fired industrial and utility boilers, burners and emission reduction systems. His contribution will add tremendous value to our clients and will move our company forward at this critical stage of its growth."

Upon accepting the position, Schindler said, "It is exciting to be associated with a true market leader that continues to make enormous strides in the creation and implementation of environmental technologies. I look forward to meeting the many opportunities that CCA offers."

Schindler was Proposal Manager at RJM Corporation (1999-2004), where he was responsible of proposal management of coal, gas and oil low NOx retrofits including burners, SNCR and other innovative emission reduction projects. He also played a key role in new product development initiatives including the commercialization of the Rich Reagent Injection (RRI) technology. Prior to RJM, Schindler was associated with Todd Combustion as Vice President of Utility Engineering. Schindler also spent four years at Fuel-Tech as project manager responsible for design, engineering, supervision and startup of low Nox reduction technologies including SNCR. Early in his career, Schindler was associated with Foster Wheeler as staff engineer responsible for burner and burner system design. Schindler has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY and is a regular speaker at various environmental technology conferences.
