LI-COR Methane Analyzer Recognized As A Top Technology Innovation
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, Jul. 29 -/E-Wire/-- The LI-7700 Open Path Methane Analyzer from LI-COR Biosciences is being recognized by the editors of R&D Magazine with an R&D 100 Award as one of the most technologically significant products introduced over the past year. The LI-7700 measures methane, an important greenhouse gas that contributes to global climate change. Primary uses include atmospheric monitoring, measuring methane emissions from landfills or animal feed lots, and industrial monitoring.

The LI-7700 Open Path Methane Analyzer represents a significant step forward in atmospheric trace gas measurement instrumentation. Methane-producing ecosystems typically represent extreme environmental conditions for scientific instrumentation. Measuring ecosystem methane flux is difficult because methane analyzers designed as laboratory-based instrumentation have high power demands, require heavy pumps, and have overly restrictive operating temperature ranges.
