Cameron-Cole Launches Targeted Microbial Applications Program
Cameron-Cole Launches Targeted Microbial Applications Program
OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA, Jan. 26 -/E-Wire/-- Cameron-Cole is pleased to announce its Targeted Microbial Applications (TMA) program that provides environmentally-friendly treatment options for contaminated soils, groundwater, wastewater, surface water, and runoff. TMA has been tested and used successfully since the early 1990s on over 100 projects in a variety of wastewater, groundwater, soil cleanup and treatment applications. TMA has been proven to be effective on petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and pesticides/herbicides.

"Our Targeted Microbial Applications program allows our clients to consider this technology among the other traditional remediation options that we offer. Cameron-Cole has worked closely with the developer of the TMA technology for several years and we are experts in the effective implementation of this technology and its applications," explained Larry Johnson, Cameron-Cole's Director of Waste Management Services. "In many cases, TMA has proven to be more cost-effective than traditional remediation options because of its minimal operations and maintenance cost and low deployment cost. Another big advantage of the program is its minimal impact on the environment."

TMA works by placing high populations of toxin-specific degraders in close contact with impacted soil and groundwater and providing these microbial degraders with a constant source of air and nutrients encouraging their growth and proliferation throughout the impacted zone. Introduced microbes utilize the contaminant for food, thereby degrading the contaminants to nontoxic by-products.
