Is "Access Hollywood's" Nancy O'Dell Too Nice? Find Out In The New Issue Of BE! magazine. |
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, Sep. 9 -/E-Wire/-- Salon City, Inc. (OTC: SALN). TV actress, Nancy O'Dell, host of NBC Universal's popular TV show "Access Hollywood" is currently featured in the premiere issue of Beauty Entertainment magazine, where she admits in an interview that she is dedicated to helping others and encouraging people not to hate.
The on-air team at "Access Hollywood" is led by Nancy O'Dell and Billy Bush, who, as co-anchors, offer an engaging and fresh take on the world of entertainment news. As co-anchor (she also contributes to Dateline NBC and NBC's Today), Nancy O'Dell is one of the world's most highly visible tele-journalists.
In the feature, readers discover that Nancy O'Dell is also a giver. She apparently can't help herself. She has even shared her mom's prune-laden spice cake recipe (good for easing tummy-trouble) in her book for expectant mothers, "Full Of Life: Mom-to-Mom Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I Was Pregnant."
But good-to-the-last-drop goodness doesn't end with yummy-mummy bonding. Recently named the first PBA Beautiful Humanitarian Award at the 2009 North American Hairstylists Award (NAHA), O'Dell also donates her time—as in, serving on Boards, serving as an ambassador and advocate, and actually working-- to several national charities including the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDS), March of Dimes, Child Help, Best Buddies and the American Red Cross. The causes range from creating resources for people with mental disabilities to ending violence against children. Of her recent Professional Beauty Association (PBA) Award, she says, "I am humbled by this honor which will help me continue to raise awareness for the many causes of which I blessed to be a part."
The story makes good-natured fun of O'Dell and casts her in a light that would make some women jealous because of her positive attitude and total beauty. BE!'s senior editor, Victoria Thomas took a liking to O'Dell's media-magnetic persona, "Nancy has this perfect white smile, but definitely backs it up with her good works and service to others."
Salon City founders Annie and Steven Casciola, the publishers of Beauty Entertainment, felt that Ms. O'Dell "represents the magazine's hybrid readership" of salons, clients and professionals; both of whom love watching O'Dell and the talented cast on the entertainment program. They added, "We know our readers will want to see more of her and the show – it's that popular."
Beauty Entertainment magazine is now being published monthly and has a special BE! Good section that highlights many socially active celebrities and independent leaders that are committed to helping people be better and more empowered.
