New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association Announces Informational Meeting on Thursday, June 25
MOUNT LAUREL, NEW JERSEY, Jun. 2 -/E-Wire/-- The recent signing of the Site Remediation Reform Act by Governor Jon S. Corzine will cause dramatic changes in the way that site cleanups in New Jersey will be overseen and administered. The act creates a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program and will establish a Licensing Board to govern the certification and conduct of LSRPs. The LSRP Association has been incorporated to support the interests of future LSRPs and to serve as a source of information for both LSRPs and other interested parties.

An informational meeting of the LSRP Association will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 6 pm at the Roma Bank Auditorium at The Conference Center at Mercer, Mercer County Community College, West Windsor, NJ. If you expect to participate in the LSRP program or have an interest in site remediation projects in New Jersey, we encourage you to attend. The following individuals/organizations may benefit from membership in the LSRPA:

• Scientists and engineers with an interest in potentially becoming LSRPs.

• Others with an interest in site remediation in New Jersey: Consultants, Attorneys, Brownfield Developers, Environmentalists, Property Owners, Business Operators, Company Environmental Managers, Government Agency Representatives, Brownfield Coordinators, Analytical Laboratories, Environmental Contractors, etc.

• College students pursuing environmental science and engineering and related fields.

We will share information about the organization of the LSRP Association, opportunities for participation, current committees and activities to date, involvement with NJDEP and stakeholders, etc. We also welcome feedback from you on what YOU would like from the Association!

We are unfortunately unable to provide refreshments for the meeting, as the meeting venue does not allow food or beverage service.

For more information and to sign up for the meeting and the Association email list, visit our website: www.lsrpa.org. Meeting sponsorship opportunities are available; if interested send email to membership@lsrpa.org.
