ENVIRON announces Letter of Intent for acquisition of Gustitus Group |
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, May. 20 -/E-Wire/--
Stephen T. Washburn, CEO of ENVIRON Holdings, Inc. (EHI), is pleased to announce the execution of a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the acquisition of Chicago-based Gustitus Group, Inc. ("Gustitus").
For the past 12 years, Gustitus has provided specialized services to a wide range of clients, including attorneys, commercial and industrial companies, developers, property managers, and condominium associations. Their staff of professional engineers and architects combine forensic architecture, engineering, and indoor air quality services to identify, evaluate and provide solutions for building component failure and moisture intrusion problems. Driven by regulatory requirements for building façade inspection and building component failure, this work includes forensic analysis/investigation services and remedial design, as well as litigation support and expert services.
According to Washburn, Gustitus will bring to ENVIRON a well-established core practice in forensic architectural services, which both complements and adds critical depth to ENVIRON's existing Building Technology Services practice. The Gustitus team also brings to ENVIRON Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, which will further boost ENVIRON's growing energy conservation-related services. With this transaction, ENVIRON's enhanced Building Technology Services practice will be better positioned to offer comprehensive building-related environmental, health, safety and energy-related services to ENVIRON's existing global network of property/real estate sector clients.
A leading international consultancy, ENVIRON has worked with clients for more than 25 years to assess and manage potential environmental, health, and sustainability issues associated with their activities and products, both locally and globally. The firm currently employs more than 1100 individuals across a network of more than 70 offices in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
