NEW YORK, NEW YORK, May. 19 -/E-Wire/--
Richard Guy makes you stop and think. For instance. Did you every stop to wonder why the oldest civilizations known to mankind all lived at extremely high altitudes. Did you ever wonder what has happened to all the ancient cities like Pithom, Ramses in Egypt or Ostia the harbor city of ancient Rome? Did it ever strike you as odd that Ur of the Chaldees is now 200 miles from the Sea today yet in ancient times when Abraham lived there is was a busy seaport? Again did you ever stop to think that Sinbad the Sailor sailed from Baghdad harbor on his seven voyages of adventure but today Baghdad is 350 miles from the sea?

Richard Guy is a Structural Engineer. His work had taken him all over the world. Richard Guy has a theory. He believes that the earth is constantly expanding as a result of seismic activity and volcanic eruptions. That expansion of the earth dictates that sea levels fall worldwide. Guy presents this incredible hypothesis for your consideration. As it says on the back cover: This Book will not only convince you but will forever change your perspective on the way our Civilization developed.

Certainly the Theory Guy espouses in "The Mysterious Receding Seas" would serve to explain to a great extent the migration patterns of the human race since antiquity. In Guys view the ancient civilizations that existed in Mesopotamia, the Andes and in the Himalayas to name but a few all developed downhill as seas receded over time. Moreover Guy offers the startling theory that the primary reason that the seas are receding is that Mother Earth is actually expanding and has been for millions of years. In fact the earth was actually once the size of the Moon. Guy refutes much of conventional thought that says sea levels remain constant over time.

If his theory proves correct it will have monumental implications for the future. For example it will disprove the Isostatic Rebound Theory. It will also solve many of the problems that now plague geologists and earth scientists. It will rewrite the history of civilizations and it open up a whole new era and area for archaeology and anthropology. As indicated Guy is a structural engineer by profession; He makes his most salient points clear and I feel that I fully understand what he is saying. "The Mysterious Receding Seas" is absolutely one of the most fascinating books that I have read in a very long time. It is worth your time and attention: Highly recommended.
