San Diego Zoo Announces Position on Climate Change at Annual Event |

As part of national Endangered Species Day, the San Diego Zoo is hosting a symposium focused on the effect of global warming on animal species. The symposium will be led by Conservation Ambassador, Joan Embery. As part of this all day event that includes presentations from animal experts around the world the Zoo’s Director of Conservation and Research, Allison Alberts Ph.D. will be announcing the San Diego Zoo’s position on climate change. The program for the day includes speakers presenting new information about the recent effects of global warming on polar bears, migratory birds, reptiles, coral reefs and large carnivores.
