TRADING COMMENCES ON THE FRANKFURT STOCK EXCHANGE
CALGARY, ALBERTA, May. 1 -/E-Wire/-- Maple Leaf Reforestation Inc. (TSX-V: MPE), a China-based reforestation company, today announced that its common stock has commenced trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) under the symbol "4HV". The International Security Identification Number (ISIN) number is "CA56530U1049".

FWB is currently the world's third largest stock trading market in terms of share trading volume and total value. The secondary listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange will increase exposure to worldwide capital markets and will enable European institutional and individual investors to trade Maple Leaf's common shares in Euro dollars.

886 AG, a German investment banking and brokerage firm, will be acting as the designated sponsor of MPE for the Frankfurt listing. 886 AG is a registered listing partner and full member of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and trades extensively on the FWB and XETRA.

"European investors have a growing appetite for access to businesses operating in China. When combined with Maple Leaf's contributions to improving the environment, we feel European investors will be especially attracted to our Company. Presence on the major German stock exchange will facilitate investment from European investors who would understandably prefer to transact in Euros," stated Raymond Lai, Chairman, President & CEO of Maple Leaf Reforestation Inc.

The Frankfurt Exchange was founded over four hundred years ago and is operated by Deutsche Boerse AG. In addition to having listings from over 60 countries, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is home to many China-based listings and has recently set up a division that caters specifically to Chinese businesses.
