"THE MYSTERIOUS RECEDING SEAS AND ISOSTATIC REBOUND" |
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Apr. 12 -/E-Wire/--
In his new book "THE MYSTERIOUS RECEDING SEAS" Richard Guy puts forward conclusive proof that our planet earth is expanding. He concludes that the expansion process makes seas recede from shorelines worldwide. Guy states that sea level datum is the misleading factor in the Isostatic Rebound theory. "Both Seas Level Datum and Isostatic Rebound are myths: Guy states "they do not exist".
Scientists have misread what is really occurring on earth because sea level has always been accepted as a constant datum by each successive generation. The truth is that sea levels have been ebbing lower and lower and retreating from shorelines, over millions of years, as our earth expands. The Receding Sea leaves land behind and we capture this land for our own use.
Why has this mystery never been observed or detected over successive generations? The reason is. As the sea recedes we take possession of the new land and build on it. This successive action erases the evidence. By so doing, the next generation comes along and accepts the sea where they see it, not knowing what took place in the previous generation.

For instance anyone walking along Pearl Street in Manhattan today would never suspect that it was once on the East River waterfront. Over three hundred years the city has added Water Street, Front Street, South Street and FDR drive. It's just impossible to conceive that all this encroachment has taken place. The encroachment on the East side of Manhattan has even been more extensive. Broadway was once on the Hudson River and over the space of 300 years more and more land has been added and developed. Most of the added land has been filled in as the seas became shallower. Land fill is a function of economics. As the sea recedes the municipality fills in the shallow inshore lands to use for commercial development. Municipalities do not attempt to fill or reclaim land from deep water. As the sea recedes the inshore becomes shallow and hence economically feasible to be filled.

An Article in the New York Times, Wednesday September 26th 2007 should put the matter of receding seas to rest once and for all. The title of the article is "JERSEY RIGHTS TO SHORE PROVE COSTLY TO CASINOS." Tells how the State of New Jersey is selling this land, left behind by the sea, to Casino Developers. It also tells how much land New Jersey has inherited from the sea. The State is selling and collecting taxes on these new lands. The "New Land" i.e. the land left behind by the receding sea... New Jersey is now researching old maps to find out where the sea was back in 1776. They are doing so with the hope of charging retroactive taxes for the land since independence from Britain. The only problem is that they can only claim on the new lands that became apparent with aerial photography since 1922. The new formed lands are becoming apparent with the use of aerial photography. If aerial photography had been available in 1776 the state would have been able to claim an additional twenty thousand acres along its on hundred and thirty miles of coastline. The interesting legal position is that the state has Riparian Rights to all the lands washed by the shores since 1776 into perpetuity. New Jersey is only able to claim, however, the land that they can prove they own. The only proof they have is what aerial photography has shown since 1922. They cannot prove or claim what lands they owned before 1922 because they were not aware that the land was growing until aerial photography revealed the phenomenon. The real truth is that the sea has been receding for millions of years but only aerial photography is able to document the recession. Although the State of New Jersey has made this discovery the average person is totally unaware that such an anomaly is taking place. The average person has no access to such documentation so the phenomenon goes undetected from generation to generation. The average person is not able to detect the subtle change in sea levels and the formation of new land because the change is only seen over prolonged periods with aerial photography. The general widespread recognition and acceptance of receding seas is therefore hindered by this lack of aerial perspective.

Guy stresses that it is critical that science recognizes and accepts that our earth is expanding. In so doing we will solve many mysteries. We will understand why Salt Marshes and Wetlands disappear in the United States and around the world.
We will understand why bridges over rivers fail mysteriously. We will know why all dams are threatened with failure. We will better understand what is happening to our rivers and why water resources are drying up. We will also understand why our earth is getting hotter, why our seas are getting hotter and why the Ice Caps are melting. We will understand why all ancient civilizations started in high regions of the world. We will also understand why so much land is becoming arid land. We will understand why Isostatic Rebound is flawed science. We will understand why storm and Hurricane intensity and Frequency are increasing. We will understand why New Orleans is sinking. We will understand why the Louisiana coastline is sinking. Guy states that all river valleys are earthquake faults and we engineers built bridges and dams across them not aware of the fact that they all expand.

Guy shows in his book why early civilizations evolved in high mountains: that was the only land they had available in pre-history. He cites biblical references from Noah and the Ark to the Exodus showing how higher sea levels influenced these biblical events.
All ancient civilizations evolved in high regions around the world. This fact, and the real reason, has never been addressed by historians. Guy states that this is because sea level, through the ages, has always been accepted as a constant. On the contrary it is the variable in the earth expansion equation. Receding Seas reveal the flaw in the Isostatic Rebound Theory. Sea levels are not rising as the global warming proponents aver. The opposite is true and has been for a very long time: sea levels are falling.
Guy states that small nation states should be told the truth. He is concerned that they will spend their scarce resources to build seafront defenses. They should be told that sea levels will not rise and threaten their coastal security. They must be told that the opposite is what is really happening... Guy states that small Island states need to know that media hype is feeding them with useless information.
To prove his theory Guy puts forward several examples of the seas recession around the world. The proof of the receding seas lies in historical research. Guy shows how higher sea levels have influenced historical events. Time alone holds the element of proof of receding seas Guy states. Guy is a structural engineer he has built docks, airports, highways and ports on lands that were left behind by the receding seas. His experience as an engineer is worldwide.
