USBCELL Green Battery wins top Cebit - IF Gold Product Design Award
Green USBCELL Batteries win GOLD at CEBIT iF Product Design Awards
AA Battery beats global companies to top award at CEBIT
LONDON, ENGLAND, Mar. 5 -/E-Wire/-- As clear evidence of green technology importance – a greener AA Battery beat thousands of global companies to a top GOLD award at this year's prestigious iF Product Design Awards.

battery.jpg The USBCELL AA battery, invented by UK based Moixa Energy and designed by British Design duo - Simon Daniel & Chris Wright, yesterday took one of 50 prestigious iF Gold Product Design Awards against competition of 2771 entries from 35 countries at CeBIT. Referred to as a 'Design Oscar', it was awarded for best global designs of the year. Philips won 1 Gold and Apple took 8 awards.
"That a new British company beat the world's biggest brands demonstrates the importance of the Sustainable Design in our USBCELL batteries", said Simon Daniel - CEO & Founder of Moixa Energy.

Daniel added "15 billion batteries are made for portable and wireless devises and thrown away each year - equivalent to a column of batteries to the moon and back, wasting resources, C02 and landfill. Technology like USBCELL batteries can be recharged anywhere by desktop, laptop or games station USB ports. They save hassle, money and reduce waste."

Daniel added "It's simply a question of better Design – giving consumers useful products that are better for the environment. It's the only way to change consumer behavior at the speed the environment needs."

Moixa (rethinking 'axioms') is pioneering significant next generation universal accessories including portable folding keyboards, flat mice and flexible displays. Chris Wright, Design Director, says "The future of portable computing lies in sustainable design, not in making temporary devices that become obsolete."

Since Moixa Energy announced USBCELL, it has received worldwide acclaim: the UK National Energy Efficiency Award, European Office Products Award, and also New Energy Entrepreneur. Corporate branded versions were also given out at the Clinton Global Initiative as part of an eco-friendly/C02 offset bag.

AA USBCELL batteries are in stock across the UK and internationally in 50 countries including national stores in the US, such as OfficeMax, Batteriesplus and Rei. Moixa also plans USBCELL versions for mobile phones and internet access.

Moixa (www.moixa.com) companies; Moixa Energy (www.moixaenergy.com, www.usbcell.com) and Moixa Design (www.moixadesign.com) are UK companies based in London, that pioneer better renewable energy, portable power and next generation interface technology.
