Former Major League Player Turns MLB's Black Eye into a Field of Green
BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Feb. 5 -/E-Wire/-- Former MLB, World Series winner Darrell Evans is fed up with the current MLB steroid scandal. Darrell is committed to use his popularity and those of his retired colleagues to promote environmental issues and at the same time improve the image of Major League Baseball players everywhere.

Darrell says, "When I played ball, we did it for the love of the game and for the enjoyment of the sport. The vast majority of players that are fortunate enough to play professional baseball are grateful for that experience. The overwhelming majority of these players were honest sportsman who played the game straight and didn't need drugs to enhance their performance and achieve greatness."

Working with a corporate sponsor, EEPI, Darrell has co-created the www.fieldsofgreenteam.com website.

It's Darrell's intention to form a team of former, retired Major League Baseball players to help baseball fans around the world unite. According to Darrell, "Normally a baseball team consists of 9 players. Our goal is to create a Fields of Green team consisting of millions of players from all around the world. Our mission is to provide environmental information, solutions, and forge a movement that makes a huge difference in cleaning up the environment. Our team has no option but to win it all. Our Fields of Green team will be a major financial contributor to environmental initiatives. I won a World Series with the Detroit Tigers, this time around the Fields of Green team will win the real World Series!"

In less than one month, ballplayers like Bill Lee and Butch Hobson from the Red Sox and fellow Tigers, have joined the Fields of Green team. We have 20 more lined up to join in the weeks ahead. Together we can fight the foe, we can and will turn this crisis around.

Darrell encourages you to check out the website www.fieldsofgreenteam.com, enroll to receive our monthly newsletter and take positive environmental actions.

"Let every baseball fan you know about the website and our program. Pick you favorite player, listen to their interview and join our team." Contact Info:
