"FREEDOM FROM MID-EAST OIL" HITS AMAZON BOOKS TODAY
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Nov. 16 -/E-Wire/-- Oscar A. Availe spoke at the United Nations today about the World Bank's clean energy investment strategies to an audience invited by the International Solar Energy Society, New York Sustainable Development and the World Bank. Mr. Availe is the World Bank's Deputy Special Representative to the United Nations.

After sharing case studies from Sierra Leone and other parts of our world where a total of 1.6 billion people have no electricity, he opened the room to discussion. According to Mr. Availe, 2.4 billion people in underdeveloped countries now get heat and energy from burning wood and other biomass, which is reported as the cause of about 1.5 million deaths per year. With a predicted 7-8% increase next year in energy demand, funding and producing clean energy is critical and immediate.

"The planet itself has been experiencing climate change since the beginning of time. Now we are facing how to integrate human beings into a changing environment," said Mr. Availe, who stressed the need for more communication about energy alternatives with local communities and other development banks."

Martha Shaw of Earth Advertising presented Mr. Oscar A. Avalle with a pre-press copy of "Freedom from Mid- East Oil," a book soon to be released by esteemed authors Jerry Brown, Ph.D., Rinaldo Brutoco, J.D., and James Cusumano, Ph.D. "Freedom from Mid-East Oil," published by the World Business Academy (www.worldbusiness.org), provides a road map to a stronger U.S. economy through American independence from Mid-East oil within 10 years, with informed choices, political will, and existing technology.
