Intelegacy Corp announced today a totally organic fertilizer product for sale in Canada that will be of particular interest to commercial farmers. Currently, many Canadian farmers are using imported synthetic chemical fertilizers that add to the global warming problem. With as much as 20% of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) coming directly from agriculture, the Intelegacy products offer a uniquely Canadian perspective on Kyoto and Canada's need to reduce GHG emissions.

One of the principal attributes of the product is the promotion of soil sequestration of carbon dioxide, a major cause of global warming.

The application of Intelegacy's organic fertilizers as opposed to synthetic chemical fertilizers will create emission credits which Intelegacy will use to significantly lower farmer's fertilizer costs.

Intelegacy Corp is close to finalizing site selection for their first organic fertilizer plant in Canada. Discussions are underway with provincial governments and several sites are under consideration, with a decision on final site selection expected this fall. The two phased approach will see both a liquid and a granular organic fertilizer production facility constructed that will employ over two hundred workers. Canadian production is slated for the Spring of 2007 with initial product demand met through import until Canadian production is at full capacity. The selected technology is currently producing certified organic fertilizers in California where standards are considered to be amongst the highest in North America. Fertilizer production inputs include fish and animal waste products that normally represent disposal issues for agriculture and aquaculture and are generally treated as pollutants.
